Azbell Electronics, Government Services Division to Provide VTC support to Fort Hood Area High School Graduations

FORT HOOD, Texas — 4 June, 2008 — Azbell Electronics, GSD is pleased and proud to have the opportunity to provide for the 5th straight year, video teleconference technical support to assist the 4th Infantry Division’s and KISDs broadcast of high school graduations in the greater Fort Hood area to military personnel currently deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Using industry leading video-teleconferencing (VTC) technology, Azbell Electronics will enable deployed service members to participate and experience in real-time all of the graduation activities as well as allow deployed parents to spend time in one-on-one conferences with graduates and families here at Fort Hood.

Mr. Bob Parker, VP Engineering with Azbell Electronics has first hand experience with being deployed during the graduation period. “I was deployed during OIFII as the G6 for the 13th COSCOM and was able to watch my son graduate from high school via VTC. Mr. Billy Azbell, President of Azbell Electronics, and I fully understand the importance and impact these once in a life time events have on our soldiers and families,” says Mr. Parker.

Along with key 4th Infantry Division and KISD personnel, Mr. John Korba, Director of Information Technology for Azbell Electronics has worked tirelessly over the past several months to ensure that every detail has been covered to guarantee that soldiers and families get the best experience possible.

The Azbell team has supported this effort for the greater Fort Hood community since 2004. Azbell is providing technical support and along with equipment. The team started working this year’s graduation in March and will continue to provide support until graduations are completed at the Bell County Expo Center.
