A Logistics Support Brigade (SB) in Iraq received their MVADS® Audio Visual (AV) System in July 2008. The MVADS® AV System was customized to support the brigade’s command post operational requirements and includes the capability to control over 50 audio inputs and more than 20 video inputs located throughout the headquarters. The associated MVADS® Touch Panel Control System is used to control the flow of information throughout the area simply by touching icons on the screen to select video/computer/audio feeds and send them to a one or more displays or speakers located throughout the command center.

The brigades MVADS® AV System consists of three control cases, touch panels, and associated projectors/LCD screens, speakers, microphones, cable, and various cable and data adaptors.

The units MVADS® AV System ships with a customized seventy-page Operation and Setup Manual that included over 100 detailed photos and ‘screen shots’ demonstrating and explaining how to install and operate the MVADS® AV System. The guide provides technical background for each device, as well as a detailed “How-Do-I” section that takes operators step by step through the use of the Touch Panel to control AV information flow throughout the command center and headquarters. The manual was specifically written and illustrated for the individual components the brigade selected for their MVADS® System.
